CJ Logistics, who last year became the first in South Korea’s logistics industry to acquire “ISO37301 Compliance Management System” certification, has passed this year's follow-up audit as well.

After acquiring ISO37301 certification last year, CJ Logistics has passed this year’s follow-up audit as well, maintaining international standard certification for 2 consecutive years.

On the 25th, CJ Logistics announced that it had succeeded in maintaining international standard certification for two consecutive years after being deemed in compliance with “ISO37301 Compliance Management System” in a follow-up audit conducted by the Korea Compliance Initiative. CJ Logistics, who last year became the first in South Korea’s logistics industry to acquire ISO37301 certification, has succeeded in getting re-certified after receiving good ratings in areas, such as the early identification of and response to legal and regulatory risks, and compliance training for employees. In the case of ISO37301, a yearly follow-up audit is conducted to maintain and check the operation of the system.

CJ Logistics is making significant efforts to practice compliance management through the establishment of a culture of compliance within the company. Since forming its dedicated compliance organization in 2016, CJ Logistics has been steadily carrying out various compliance activities, such as regular compliance training and compliance monitoring. In particular, the company identifies various laws and regulations related to its business activities as well as potential risks to its business thereby establishing work processes. It also holds a Compliance Management Committee every year.

CJ Logistics has a compliance bulletin in place on its website so that employees can recognize the importance of compliance and practice it. The company also send outs newsletters periodically. Through these actions, employees are able to quickly acquire the latest information about policies and laws as well as relevant behavioral guidelines.

“ISO37301” is a standard for compliance management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is a widely used international standard designed to help companies achieve compliance management, organizational governance, ethical management, and so on. Compliance means the act of eliminating potential risk factors in advance through the observance of laws and corporate ethics and protecting the company, employees, and various stakeholders to minimize possible losses.
