CJ Logistics announced on 27th of February that it has been recognized as one of Korea’s Most Admired Company. CJ Logistics employees are celebrating for getting nominated as one of ‘Korea’s Most Admired Companies’ for the 6th consecutive year at CJ Logistics’ headquarters building in Seoul, South Korea.
Since 2013, CJ Logistics has been nominated as one of Korea’s Most Admired Companies for the 6th consecutive year.
CJ Logistics announced on 27th of February that it has been recognized as one of Korea’s Most Admired Company. CJ logistics topped the list in the integrated logistics category for 6 straight years.
KMAC determined the rankings after the evaluation of 6 criteria, including innovation ability, shareholder value, employee value, customer value, social value, and brand image value.
CJ Logistics was nominated in the total distribution service sector for leading the country’s economy and industry by providing high quality logistics services to its customers.
In 2017, CJ Logistics delivered 1.05 billion parcel boxes to customers. Average people aged over 15, received 24 parcel boxes from CJ Logistics annually and this means that parcel delivery service is becoming one of the essential public services.
For the first time in the parcel delivery industry, over 1 billion parcel boxes were delivered. In order to manage rapidly increasing volume, CJ Logistics installed the automatic sorter called ‘Wheel Sorter’ to 170 sub-terminals. ‘Wheel Sorter’, not only raised the efficiency of the delivery system and income of the delivery workers, but also enabled company to provide the better service to meet customer’s needs.
In addition, CJ Logistics strives to follow CJ Group’s CSV (Creating Shared Value) principles and promotes sustainable social growth. The company also makes various efforts to become a global top 5 logistics company by 2020.
CJ Logistics has created over 1,300 senior jobs in 160 locations nationwide by operating an innovative CSV business ‘Senior Parcel Delivery’. When a truck drops off the packages to a delivery base, senior employees perform the last mile door-to-door delivery service to customers with eco-friendly electronic carts. This innovative CSV business model helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and boosts the local economy by creating more senior jobs.
In 2015 and 2017, CJ Logistics received the Porter Prize for Excellence in CSV honors companies and institutions that pursue both economic and social values.
